Are you a meticulous logistics professional with a keen sense of problem solving and continuous improvement? We are looking for an OS&D (Over, Short, and Damaged) Specialist for an exciting and challenging position in the Manufacturing and Logistics sector in Moncton, New Brunswick. This role is essential to maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction in a dynamic freight environment.

The OS&D Specialist will play a crucial role in minimizing losses related to incidents involving excess, missing, or damaged cargo. You will be the go-to person for identifying the root cause of these incidents and implementing corrective actions. This involves reviewing shipping documentation, inspecting cargo, and communicating with relevant parties to gather information. Your expertise is key to preventing future incidents by analyzing their causes and contributing to the development and implementation of preventive measures.

As an OS&D Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Manufacturing and Logistics category, where the focus is on performance and operational excellence. You will ensure accurate documentation of all OS&D incidents and work closely with various teams to resolve issues and improve overall operational efficiency. This position requires strict adherence to established freight flow and OS&D procedures to ensure compliance and maintain quality standards.

Monday to Friday: 10AM to 6PM

Responsibilities
The OS&D Specialist will have the following key responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve OS&D issues by identifying the cause of incidents and implementing corrective actions.

• Review shipping documents, inspect freight and contact relevant parties to gather information.

• Meticulously track and record all OS&D incidents, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference and claims processing.

• Communicate with customers to inform them of the status of their shipments and guide them in filing claims.

• Collaborate closely with various teams to resolve issues and improve operational efficiency.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of preventive measures to minimize future occurrences of OS&D.

• Adhere to established freight flow and OS&D procedures to ensure compliance and maintain quality standards.

• Escalate unresolved issues or non-compliance matters to management.

Qualifications
Essential skills for success as an OS&D Specialist include:

• Strong organizational skills for managing files and follow-ups.

• Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and propose solutions.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.

• Proficiency in using logistics systems, including AS400 and Truckmate.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Ability to perform freight inspections and analyze shipping documents.

• Documentation and record-keeping skills.

• Focus on following established procedures and compliance.
