Position: Cash and Payment Accountant (Permanent)

Your new company is a well‑established UK organisation recognised for its strong operational and financial processes. Based in a flexible, hybrid-working environment, they are seeking an experienced finance professional to support their payments and cash management function.

Your new role
In this role, you will oversee a range of daily, weekly, and monthly payment activities across multiple payment routes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. You will work with a variety of automated processes to generate payment runs and identify any failures requiring investigation. You will also supervise the posting of daily cash transactions across several bank accounts, allocate tasks within the team, and present regular stand‑up updates to ensure deadlines are met.

Acting as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, you will provide advice on payment queries, cash postings, and general process issues.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong background in finance operations, preferably part‑qualified or qualified by experience, with a high level of numerical accuracy. Advanced Excel capabilities-particularly with data handling and analysis-are essential.

Experience with large-scale accounting or ERP systems is required, and you should be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with automated processes.
