Torfaen County Borough Council is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Social Worker to join our supportive and progressive Adult Mental Health Social Work Team within Adult Services.

This is a full-time position for 37 hours per week where you will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary division. Adult Services works collaboratively with partner agencies to meet the social care needs of adults experiencing mental distress within Torfaen.

Key Requirements

* Registered Social Worker:
You must be a fully registered Social Worker with the relevant professional body.

* Experience:

You will have experience across a wide range of social care processes, including excellent assessment and risk management skills.

* Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP):
This qualification is highly desirable. If you do not currently hold the AMHP qualification, there is an explicit expectation from TCBC that the successful candidate will undertake the AMHP course.
