Position: Multi skilled engineer ....nights (Permanent)
We’re recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join a well‑established food manufacturing site in Hamilton. This facility has a long heritage in craft bakery and produces a wide range of high‑volume, high‑quality products for major UK retailers and well‑known brands.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast‑paced engineering team within a successful and growing organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this varied and hands‑on role, you will play a key part in maintaining and improving production performance across the site.

Responsibilities include:

* Carrying out daily maintenance on production equipment

* Responding to breakdowns, completing fault‑finding and repairs efficiently

* Identifying root causes and accurately recording work completed through the CMMS

* Delivering planned preventative maintenance in line with site schedules

* Ensuring all work meets food safety, health & safety, legal and quality standards

* Supporting continuous improvement and site project work

* Suggesting and implementing improvements to machinery, production lines and processes

* Working closely with operations teams and building strong stakeholder relationships

What We’re Looking For

* Fully qualified Multi‑Skilled Engineer (electrical bias preferred)

* Experience with in FMCG or food manufacturing

* Strong understanding of lean/continuous improvement principles

* Hands‑on, flexible approach with excellent communication skills

* Able to work independently and under pressure

* High attention to detail and a strong team ethic
