Job Overview

As a Wind Turbine Service Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wind turbines. This role requires a strong technical background, a high degree of safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our wind energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to turbine operation, including component failures and system malfunctions.
  • Conduct repairs and replacements of components as needed, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in service logs and reports.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other technicians to coordinate maintenance activities and share best practices.
  • Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment for turbine maintenance.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and certification programs as required.
Qualifications
  • Technical diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy fields.
  • Siemens and GWO Certification are preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote sites.
