What is the Opportunity?
AUE is seeking a Project Advisor to support telecom infrastructure projects through constructability reviews, engineering investigations, and field inspections. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide design input, prepare estimates, and guide construction practices, while leveraging specialized tools like SPIDA Calc and PLS-CADD. Ideal for someone with deep telecom knowledge and strong communication skills, this role blends technical leadership with operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do Here
Conduct constructability reviews for fiber networks in collaboration with the engineering team.
Perform engineering investigations for system updates and upgrades, review field survey data and engineering designs.
Prepare and report job estimates, including instruction orders and activity breakdowns, factoring in structures, spans, soil types, components, and field conditions.
Review and advise on telecom easement rights, permitting requirements, and joint-use facilities.
Arrange and carry out inspections of joint-use facilities within the scope of work.
Make technical recommendations related to telecom distribution systems.
Utilize telecom-specific pole analysis tools such as SPIDA Calc, Quick Pole, and PLS-CADD.
Assist in the creation and review of the bill of materials.
Provide training to field and engineering teams on construction practices.
Promote an inclusive culture that values equity, diverse perspectives, and career growth.
Able to perform in a fast-paced environment; repetitive data entry and prolonged sedentary positioning may be required.

Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure and distribution systems.

Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, managing various responsibilities such as meetings, correspondence, and coordination.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English for technical reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Professional interaction with all levels of staff, from front line to leadership.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
Training in safety and experience in the construction industry.
Post-secondary education in Electrical/Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related field is considered an asset.
