ResponsibilitiesBell Flight has multiple development and upgrade projects requiring the creation or update of wiring/harness and electrical installation drawings. The Wiring & Electrical Installation engineer will act as a technical focal point, guiding, supervising and reviewing the daily technical work of wiring and electrical installation specialists.
CompetenciesProvide technical oversight and develop aircraft wiring architecture, diagrams, schematics and electrical installation drawings using tools such as Mentor Graphics Capital Harness Systems (CHS), CATIA V6 and/or equivalent. Release wiring drawings in coordination with Avionics, E3 and Electrical Systems engineers. Support wiring supplier management, aircraft build installation, testing, and aircraft/system qualification and certification. Support First Article Installations (FAI). The candidate will be part of the Commercial Programs team based in Mirabel and may require travel in Canada and the United States.
Qualifications- College degree in aerospace design or electrical design, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Physics, Computer Science, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of pertinent experience; preferably 10 years.
- Experience with wiring and electrical systems integration, development, and testing.
- Familiarity with aerospace wiring and connector standards such as SAE AS50881, MIL‑W‑22759 & MIL‑C‑27500.
- Experience with primary development environments:
Mentor Graphics Capital Harness System, CATIA V4 (Schema) or equivalent. - Strong work ethic and self‑motivation.
- Proficiency in French and English for communication with Bell teams and external partners outside Quebec.
- Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
