Are you passionate about building and securing large-scale networks. Join our team as a Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Montreal! We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a deep understanding of modern networking, especially in complex, high-security environments.

What You’ll Do:

– Design, implement, and maintain large, secure network infrastructures for both production and non-production environments.
– Lead efforts to separate and secure networks, helping ensure robust security and smooth business operations.
– Work closely with business and technical teams—to explain/socialize risks with larger teams and implement the network designs, .
– Develop and execute comprehensive network implementation plans, with security and stability in mind.
– Build automation for repetitive network tasks using tools like Python and Ansible.
– Perform scheduled network changes and migrations during weekends and outside normal business hours as required.

What We’re Looking For:

– 10+ years of networking experience — ideally in financial services, technology vendors, or systems integrators.
– Expertise with Ethernet technologies (STP, 802.1x, VPC, Multilayer Switching, Leaf-Spine IP Fabric).
– Deep knowledge of IP routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPBGP, TCP/IP) and multicast (PIM, IGMP, MSDP).
– Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR, Nexus, Catalyst and Arista switches, and network operating systems (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NXOS, IOS-XR, Arista EOS).
– Strong background in network security concepts, multi-tier security architectures, and best practices for segmenting production and non-production networks.

– Experience with network tools such as Wireshark, Infoblox, HPNA, Splunk, Sevone.
– Familiarity with project/task management tools like JIRA, especially Agile/Kanban methods.
– Strong scripting/automation skills is a must. Able to independently develop solutions for repetitive network tasks.
– Willing to work weekends.

Nice to Have:
– UNIX or Linux skills.
– CCIE or similar certifications.
– Knowledge of Wireless infra, SDN, SDWAN, DMVPN, public cloud is a plus.
– Strong grasp of security concepts (defense in depth, zero trust, least privilege, risk controls).
– Experience working on enterprise-level initiatives with senior stakeholders across multiple regions and cultures.

– Experience with Optical equipment like Adva/Ciena is a plus

– Experience with timing infra like the spectracom/meinberg is a plus. Who You Are:
