About the role
As a Software Developer at WHC, you'll play a key role in building, improving, and expanding our internal and external platforms to help small businesses thrive online. While your primary focus will be backend development, this role also includes occasional frontend work using JavaScript and jQuery to support end-to-end feature delivery.
What you'll do
Build new features and improvements for WHC's management platform (ERP)Build and enhance our client-facing web platformTroubleshoot and resolve bugs in our production environmentBuild APIs using LaravelImprove our Managed Word Press hosting application, including developing custom Word Press pluginsLeverage AI and Machine Learning in service to our clientsCollaborate across teams to deliver seamless full-stack solutions when neededQualifications
4+ years of experience with PHP web development2+ years of experience working with JavaScript and jQuery4+ years of experience with MySQL and writing complex SQL queriesExperience with code versioning tools such as GitKnowledge of Bash scripting and command-line server management (an asset)Completed at least a 3-year university-level degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or a related fieldGood working knowledge of English (written and spoken) to be able to communicate with our international teamsMust pass a security background checkWhy join WHC?
