Position Description
We are looking for a SharePoint developer to help design and create a customized SharePoint solution. The resource must have the ability to understand what is needed to make the site functional and easy to update, but at the same time make it aesthetically appealing, visually intuitive and user‑friendly.
Responsibilities
Review website and application requirements.
Set tasks and development goals.
Configure SharePoint to specified requirements.
Create visually attractive and easy‑to‑navigate layouts.
Develop new web components using XML, .NET, SQL, and C#.
Design, code, and implement scalable applications.
Extend SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies.
Test functionality and debug code.
Review website interface and software stability, troubleshooting issues.
Maintain and update SharePoint applications.
Work side‑by‑side with staff to ensure development of internal capabilities and maintenance after implementation.
Education and Experience
University Degree or College Diploma focused on Computer Science or Software Engineering.
A minimum of three (3) years of recent relevant work experience in SharePoint development.
Extensive knowledge of SharePoint and MS Office software, proficiency with front‑end programming languages, and ability to solve complex software issues.
Other Requirements
Experience visually designing and establishing the look and feel for SharePoint Online sites/pages.
Experience with Power App and Power Automate (Flow) would be an asset.
Extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks.
Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services.
Have a firm understanding of what can (and cannot) be done in SharePoint Online.
High‑level coding skills.
Ability to solve complex software issues.
Ability to project manage.
Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented.
Experience creating SharePoint solutions in support of learning initiatives would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated bilingual written and oral communication skills.
