Network Specialist

Our client, a major player in the healthcare sector, is looking for an IT Networking Specialist for a 12-month contract. This role is essential to support the network infrastructure and ensure system security and performance.

Your new role

As an IT Networking Specialist, you will work on-site in Montreal (35 hours per week). Your daily responsibilities will include:

Managing VLANs to segment physical networks, improve security, and optimize bandwidth.

Administering network switches and integrating equipment puters, servers, printers).

Implementing and maintaining monitoring solutions to track network performance and connectivity.

Managing Wi-Fi and network security devices.

Overseeing iing and outgoing connections with partners and service providers.

Collaborating with IT teams to integrate networks into existing infrastructure.

Planning and executing upgrades and updates for network equipment and services.

Managing budgets and costs related to network equipment and services.

Providing training and mentorship to team members on best practices in network management.

What you'll need to succeed

Education:

Bachelor’s degree inputer Science or equivalent (or college diploma with relevant experience).

Experience:

Minimum 3 years in enterprise IT systems and telmunications network analysis (within the last 10 years).3 years in network architecture and infrastructure projects (within the last 5 years).Participation in 2 major network implementation projects (within the last 5 years).

Technical skills:

Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).Experience managing routers, switches, and firewalls.

Certifications (at least one):

Cisco CCNPJuniper JNCIAMicrosoft Azure Administrator Associate Or equivalent.

Language:
Excellent oral and writtenmunication skills in French.

Experience in business requirements modeling, system implementation, risk analysis, and financial scenario development.
