A Strategic Role at the Heart of Logistics
Responsibilities
Manage hardware requests and incidents in the Jira ticketing system, taking into account their urgency and prioritizing their resolution.
Prepare, configure and ship PCs, laptops, Mac Books, Chromebooks and other equipment to new employees.
Diagnose and repair defective equipment, including managing warranty returns (RMA).
Ensure receipt and inventory of equipment returned by departing employees.
Document all actions taken to configure, repair and ship equipment in Jira.
Manage shipment of IT equipment to remote stations or employees.
Participate in the life-cycle management of IT equipment, ensuring its maintenance, repair and replacement.
Collaborate with the IT team to solve hardware problems and ensure that equipment is adapted to users' needs.
Ensure the proper reception of new equipment and the integration of new technologies within the company.
Set up technological tools for new users according to their specific needs.
Follow up service requests until resolution or closure.
Provide support to other departments when integrating new equipment or updating systems.
Qualifications
Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Windows, macOS and Chrome
OS operating systems.
Experience in diagnosing and repairing PC, Apple, and scangun equipment used in stations.
Knowledge of ticket management tools such as Jira or similar ITSM software.
Logistics management skills (shipping, receiving, inventory).
CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, etc.) considered an asset.
Excellent command of Microsoft Office 365 office tools, including Teams.
Good understanding of VPN concepts, remote connection and networking in general.
Excellent technical intervention skills, both remotely and in person.
Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
Ability to solve problems quickly and document solutions clearly and concisely.
