This role sits within Laurentian Bank.

The incumbent will report to the Chief data officer in the Data Governance Office and will be primarily responsible for the completion of various projects involving data issues from all areas of the bank. He/she will ensure an understanding of the issue, analyze the impacted data, identify/apply remediation action plans and implement mechanisms to ensure ongoing data integrity. He/she will prepare presentations, statuses, and statistics to provide visibility of the project's progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out analyses to understand the data, processes, reports, systems, and architecture involved in the data issue.
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify potential improvements to processes, reporting, systems, or architecture.
  • Correct data at the source in impacted systems.
  • Recommend mandatory changes and control mechanisms to ensure data integrity permanently.
  • Ensures rigorous follow-up of required process, system, or architecture changes.
  • Reinforce the importance of correcting data at the source and using the right data with the right definition and reports.
  • Produce presentations, reports, statuses and statistics to provide visibility on project progress;
  • Performs any other tasks of a similar nature or of a general nature requested by his/her superior or required as part of his/her duties.
  • Qualifications:

  • Education in an appropriate field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Analytical skills to find solutions to data access and management issues;
  • Have a good understanding of the bank's systems and data;
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage several tasks simultaneously;
  • Know how to prioritize and develop privileged contact with stakeholders;

  • Manipulate data in Excel (intermediate)

  • Analytical and conceptual skills to find solutions to data access and management issues;
