On behalf of our banking client, Procom is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a 12-month contract role. This position is a hybrid role, 3 days a week onsite at our client’s Montréal, Quebec office.

- Job Description:
The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving the reliability engineering, operations, and customer support services for the Bank’s Service Now SaaS implementation. The role involves applying advanced SRE practices to deliver reliable, resilient systems without unnecessary operational effort.
SRE practices include task optimization and automation, prioritizing technical debt, observability and monitoring dashboards, capacity management, incident response, and problem elimination.
Site Reliability Engineer - Responsibilities:
Deliver improvements to maximize the availability and performance of supported systems through optimized and automated operational tasks.Troubleshoot Service Now issues and some on-premise capabilities in a Linux environment.Explore and implement observability including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.Be available for on-call rotation with the global team.Contribute to the documentation and understanding of the Firm's Service Now instances.Identify and prioritize technical debt impacting client satisfaction or operational efficiency.Provide feedback on policies and procedures to improve firm safety and efficiency.Site Reliability Engineer - Mandatory
Skills:
7+ years of experienceThe ideal candidate would have at least one of:
Software development skills in one or more programming language, e.g. Python, Service Now administration or development experience,Proficient oral and written communication skillsEstablishing effective relationships with colleaguesDependable team worker with a commitment to client serviceAbility to respond to technical emergenciesOpen to work in on-call rotationSite Reliability Engineer – Nice-to-Have
