Description of position:

Performs janitorial services and general upkeep for all areas of the Optical Lab to meet company standards and ensure safety. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, operating cardboard and trash compactors, following safety procedures, assisting in grounds maintenance, and restocking supplies.

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

• Review daily schedule for routine tasks.
• Clean floors in various areas, change scrubber water regularly.
• Empty trash and operate compactors.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Respond promptly to spills.
• Clean fixtures, change bulbs, wash windows, and vacuum rafters.
• Assist in grounds maintenance, snow and ice removal, painting, and concrete repairs.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.
• Adhere to safety and security standards.
• Provide courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
• Operate maintenance systems and manage inventory and purchases.

Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:

• Assist in other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity required.

For Quebec locations, ability to communicate in French is required.
