As part of the Nacon group, creā‑ture Studios Inc. is focused on PC and Console original IP. We’re looking for a motivated and versatile Lead Programmer to help build innovative, engaging teams and game experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and is excited about contributing across gameplay, systems, and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a small, senior, and autonomous programming team in developing and maintaining gameplay systems and internal tools in a hybrid/remote setting

Balance hands-on coding, mentorship, and management tasks while providing guidance to junior developers

Align with the Technical Architect on technical needs and project goals

Establish coding best practices and lead regular code reviews

Continuously evaluate and improve development workflows

Design and support core gameplay features (e.g., animation, online, social)

Collaborate with Studio Directors, artists, designers, and engineers to deliver creative, high-quality solutions

REQUIREMENTS

Strong proficiency in C++ (required)

Proven experience with Unreal Engine (required)

Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and optimization skills

Ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple priorities

Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment

Demonstrated ability to guide others, make technical decisions, and take ownership of complex systems

Clear communication skills and collaborative mindset

Familiarity with modern development workflows and source control tools
