Location: MontrealOur client is looking to hire an Intermediate Android Developer for a large healthcare client.
Their team consists of 40+ developers and designers scales to support the growing scope and complexity of the healthcare services offered by the healthcare client, they're looking for a talented developer experienced in Android and Kotlin to join our team.
Responsibilities:
As an Android developer, you will:
Work with a focused team of other talented engineers, designers, and product managers to enhance our existing patient-facing Android appLead design and implementation of complex features and architectural improvementsAutonomously build end-to-end features while mentoring junior and intermediate developersEnsure performance, quality, and scalability of the applicationDrive technical decisions and establish best practices for Android development across the teamCollaborate with engineering leadership to shape the technical roadmap and architectureConduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team membersChampion quality through comprehensive testing strategies and CI/CD practicesMust Haves:
5+ years of Android development experience using KotlinExperience with MVI/Redux or other unidirectional data flow architecturesExperience with Kotlin Coroutines and asynchronous programmingExperience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI developmentComprehensive experience writing Unit Tests and UI Automation TestsProven experience working with RESTful APIs and backend integrationExperience with Play Store management, release processes, and production supportBS/MS degree in Computer Science or closely related field, or equivalent practical experienceNice To Haves:
CI/CD experience with tools like Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or BitriseExperience with performance monitoring tools (Android Studio Performance Monitoring, Crashlytics, etc.)Experience mentoring or leading technical teamsKnowledge of security best practices for healthcare/HIPAA-compliant applicationsContributions to open-source Android projects
