Overview

Software Business Developer Engineering positions for our Montreal area client.

These are long term contracts that have the potential to last for years.

Location:

Office environment.

Training available:

The client offers training programs to develop the necessary skills in specific software programming applications that the potential employees may not have mastered yet.

Team Member

Active member of a team managed by Scrum/Kanban based Agile development process.

General Responsibilities:

Design, maintenance and operation of software applications for both local Montreal department projects as well as for large Global projects

Designing IT software applications supporting aircraft engine test activities and programs

Responsible for high reliability and maintainability of existing and new systems

Maintaining test data and application integrity and availability

Responsible for updating documentation

Organizing and supporting collaborative types of design review sessions

Full stack development:
Front end and back end experience

General Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Software Engineering from a recognized university.

Experience with Application Development

Proven experience in software Development

Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban) an asset

Required experience with
:

Python Coding language a must

VCS (GIT preferably)

Mainstream DBMS required

Python Web Framework (Django or Flask)

Backend Python, Django, mySQL

Frontend development (HTML,CSS,JS,JQUERY)

The following experience are definite assets: Work experience in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban) Frontend Templating (for example Jinja) Experience with Code Reviews Experience in Unit Testing

Good understanding of IT Systems – networks, servers and virtualization

-5 years of Programming experience is desirable

Knowledge of process development

Team player

Proactive

Bilingual French and English verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with people in Quebec, Canada and the USA.
