The shift pattern for this post is 4/7 shifts (this includes night shift, public holidays and weekends).

Stobhill Mental Health Campus is seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to join the dedicated team on one of our mental health wards within our vast site. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment, delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care alongside a multidisciplinary team.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an individual with a strong interest in acute mental health care, with the ability to work effectively in a team, manage risk in a high‑pressure environment, and support patients through their recovery journey. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building trust with patients, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients experiencing acute mental health crises, ensuring dignity and respect.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in line with best practices and individualised recovery pathways.
  • Monitor mental and physical health and respond proactively to any changes in condition or risk.
  • Work collaboratively with community teams to ensure seamless transitions between inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Offer education and support to families, colleagues and carers, ensuring they feel informed and involved in the care process.
  • Participate in clinical audits, continuing professional development, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
