Mental Health Nurse - North East

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The hours of this post are worked on a continental or 4/7 shift pattern including weekends and night duty.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within North East Mental Health In‑patients (Stobhill) to work within our Mental Health Wards. The wards within Stobhill Mental Health Campus provide specialist care and treatment to some of our more complex patients. This allows for the opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge in this area and access specific training to provide a specialist service.

You should have an interest in working with patients with Mental Health conditions.

The post‑holder will support the Registered Nursing Staff to contribute to safe and effective patient care and will be required to work across the mental health inpatient service (i.e. hospital site).

• Inpatient Services provide mental health nursing care for:
• People requiring acute mental health care (i.e. adult & older adults)
• People requiring specialist mental health care (e.g. intensive mental health care / specialist dementia care / rehabilitation etc.)
• People requiring a continued period of assessment, care and treatment for complex mental health care needs.
