Job Overview

Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC) is a partnership managing several GP practices with around 120,000 registered patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside. NPC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver enhanced nursing services across multiple sites (Lynemouth, Morpeth, Pegswood, Newbiggin).
  • Carry out long‑term condition reviews (Asthma, Hypertension, COPD, Diabetes etc.), vaccinations, blood sampling and travel vaccinations.
  • Work unsupervised and be accountable for the practice, applying critical thinking and decision making.
  • Act as a role model for compassionate and inclusive leadership, engaging, enabling and empowering others, coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement, and facilitating team working and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the current Practice Nurse and HCAs to deliver a high standard of chronic disease management, health promotion, immunisation and screening programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered nurse with experience in primary care.
  • Proven clinical excellence, evidence‑based care and high standards of clinical skills.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across GP practices, maintaining continuity for patients.
