Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Care Assistant you will plan and implement high‑quality care that gives residents a sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver personalised care plans, lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care. Key duties include:
- Assist with walking frames, end‑of‑life meals and family communication with kindness and professionalism.
- Support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
- Administer medication accurately and maintain clear, accurate records.
- Build strong relationships with team members and manage time effectively.
- Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and report concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
- NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Adult Social Care (preferred) and willingness to work towards Level 3.
- Experience in caring for people with dementia and person‑centred care planning.
- Excellent record‑keeping skills and time‑management ability.
- Positive energy, natural ability to get along with people and consideration in all interactions.
- Full DBS/PVG and commitment to safeguarding training.
- Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG.
- Hourly rate subject to experience and qualifications.
