AWS Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on AWS Cloud Administrator/Engineer with strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud security, and core AWS infrastructure services. In this role, you will design, build, review, and maintain AWS environments following best practices for security, scalability, availability, and cost optimization. You will work closely with development and operations teams to support secure, reliable cloud workloads.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

2+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS environments in production.

Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, including roles, policies, trust relationships, permission boundaries, and AWS Organizations/SCPs.

Solid understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPC design, subnetting, routing tables, and NAT gateways.

Experience managing EC2 instances, security groups, EBS volumes, and RDS databases.

Familiarity with AWS CLI and scripting languages such as Bash or Python.

Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and shared responsibility model.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Cloud Formation or Terraform.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working as a Cloud or Dev Ops Engineer on the AWS platform.

Hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services to design and implement infrastructure based on application requirements.

Experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ELB, Auto Scaling Groups (ASG), RDS, Cloud Watch, SNS, Cloud Trail, and Route 53.

Experience implementing IAM users, groups, roles, and MFA across multiple AWS regions.

Basic knowledge of Active Directory and integration with AWS.

Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, AWS Config, IAM Identity Center (SSO), and Cloud Trail.

Experience with AWS security services such as Secrets Manager, Guard Duty, WAF, and Security Hub.

Strong Linux experience for package management, service management, and system troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage IAM roles, policies, permission boundaries, and service-linked roles to enforce least-privilege access.

Design and maintain secure, scalable AWS networking solutions including VPCs, subnets, route tables, and gateways.

Provision, manage, and optimize AWS infrastructure services such as EC2, RDS, EBS, ELB, and Auto Scaling.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to enforce security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and security tasks using Cloud Formation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools.

Monitor AWS environments using Cloud Trail, Guard Duty, Config, Security Hub, and Cloud Watch, and recommend remediation actions.

Participate in access reviews, security audits, and incident response activities.

Manage EBS volumes, including resizing based on requirements and implementing lifecycle policies.

Automate backups for RDS and EBS using lifecycle policies and snapshots.

Perform regular cleanup of unused or unwanted AWS resources to optimize cost.

Manage Linux servers, including package installation, service configuration, and troubleshooting.

Monitor system performance, optimize resource utilization, and implement logging and alerting.

Create and manage AMIs for critical EC2 instances as part of backup and recovery strategies.

Enable and analyze VPC Flow Logs to monitor and troubleshoot network traffic.

Configure Cloud Trail and Guard Duty for API logging and security monitoring.

Set up Launch Configurations, Auto Scaling Groups, and Load Balancers to ensure high availability.

Modify EC2 instance types based on performance and workload requirements.

Support Active Directory tasks such as user creation and password resets.

Manage security group rules, including IP whitelisting based on approved requests.

Provide operational and technical support to users and clients for AWS-related inquiries.
