Our DBA team supports on-premises and cloud-based databases . In this role, you will organize and manage database instances to meet business objectives while maintaining the highest levels of availability, performance, and customer satisfaction. The role also encourages adoption of AI-driven monitoring, automation, and analytics to enhance operational efficiency.
To ensure success as a DBA, you should possess extensive knowledge of Oracle database architecture , experience in a similar role, and an interest in leveraging AI-powered tools for proactive database management .
Database Administrator Responsibilities
Strong understanding of Oracle Database Architecture
Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle servers in standalone and RAC environments.
Implement and support high availability solutions using Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
Implement Disaster Recovery solutions using Oracle Data Guard and Standby Databases
Start and stop Oracle database services and perform routine operational tasks.
Migrate schemas using traditional exp/imp and Oracle Data Pump utilities.
Perform cross-platform database migrations.
Use Oracle RMAN for backup, recovery, and cloning operations.
Monitor and analyze alert logs, trace files, and diagnostic data.
.Apply Oracle CPU and PSU patches following best practices.
.Generate and analyze AWR and ADDM reports to identify performance issues.
.Monitor backup jobs and perform data recovery when required.
.Investigate and document database-related issues impacting production environments.
.Develop scripts to automate database operations , monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
.Leverage AI-driven or AIOps monitoring tools to:
Proactively detect anomalies and performance degradation
Predict capacity, storage growth, and potential failures.
Reduce manual intervention and incident resolution time.
Assist in implementing intelligent alerting, predictive analytics, and self-healing mechanisms for database operations.
Document database configurations, operational procedures, and AI-enabled workflows
Database Administrator Requirements
. BE / MCA or any computer science-related major
. Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
. Strong core Oracle Database knowledge (12c and 19c) including RAC and ASM
. Strong SQL, PL/SQL , and Shell / Perl scripting skills
. Experience developing automation scripts exposure to Python for AI/automation is a plus.
. Basic knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware (e.g., Web Logic)
. Basic knowledge of Cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, or Azure)
.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and intelligent monitoring tools
. In-depth knowledge of Oracle database technologies and architecture
. Understanding of database best practices , security, and performance optimization
. Familiarity with AI-based monitoring, anomaly detection, or predictive alerting tools is desirable.
. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
. Ability to continuously learn and adapt to emerging AI and automation technologies in database operations.
