Job Title:

Data Engineer/Generalist
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented  Data Engineer/Generalist  to support our business intelligence and reporting efforts. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and developing data models that power meaningful insights, primarily within Oracle Fusion. This role requires close collaboration with analysts and business stakeholders to translate data needs into effective technical solutions.

Additionally, this role will be asked to help support other requests such as data inquiries, helping complete daily analytical tasks and generally support the department on an as requested basis.
Working Timeframe: 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time Zone (US)

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements for reporting and analysis.
Participate within the Business Operations and Analytics Department as a Subject Matter Expert with SQL queries, data modeling, data pipelines and data warehousing.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient  data models  that support enterprise reporting within  Oracle Fusion .
Ensure data models are optimized for performance, usability, and alignment with business objectives.
Validate and test models to ensure accuracy and completeness of reported data.
Respond to  ad hoc data inquiries  from various business units by creating quick-turnaround reports or SQL-based data extracts.
Leverage SQL and other data tools to analyze and present data clearly and effectively.
Provide technical expertise in identifying trends, anomalies, and actionable insights from raw data.
Support ongoing efforts to improve data quality, reporting standards, and self-service capabilities across the organization.
Generally support the Vice President of Business Operations and Analytics by being a go to problem solver that can address data issues, data analysis inquiries or generally support the department if any one area needs further assistance or support while other team members are unavailable.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in  SQL  and experience working with relational databases (Oracle preferred).
Experience building  data models  for enterprise reporting tools and environments.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and reporting best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to tackle any business-related problems, regardless of task. Having business acumen is key to this data/generalist role.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position will have sound technical capability around SQL querying, relational databases, data modeling and reporting. Having experience creating pipelines between various data sources and connecting them into the Fusion Analytics Warehouse/FDBI platform is ideal. Additionally, experience with Oracle Fusion, Oracle Field Service Cloud, Oracle SCM and CX modules is highly sought after. This position is aimed at both technical expertise and someone that is willing to help cover other roles in a supporting position.
