About the role:
As VP – Business Intelligence & Analytics, you will lead data-driven decision-making across growth, marketing, supply chain, and customer experience in a fast-paced D2C environment. Partnering with CXOs, you will turn complex data into sharp, actionable insights that fuel scale and profitability. You will own BI platforms, analytics frameworks, and data foundations to ensure speed, accuracy, and reliability. This role also focuses on building and mentoring high-impact analytics teams that shape business strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence :
Design and develop data structures, dashboards, and analytical cuts to track key business metrics, including sales performance, marketing performance, customer insights, competition intelligence, and category trends.
Partner with leadership and business teams, enabling them with actionable, data-driven insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Shape and elevate decision-making by introducing new analytical perspectives, data cuts, and data-backed thought processes.
Dashboarding and Reporting:
Own the creation, automation, and timely delivery of key reports and dashboards for senior management and CXO stakeholders.
Monitoring of key business health metrics, proactively surfacing risks, opportunities, and performance shifts.
Drive excellence in data accuracy, processing speed, and analytical reliability across reports, dashboards, and structures.
Data Engineering Support:
Oversee the design, maintenance, and scalability of the database, data pipelines, ETL processes, data security, backend data engineering systems, and cost optimization.
Establish and maintain strong data security and privacy frameworks in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Apply deep expertise in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Python to deliver advanced analytics and automation.
Possess working knowledge of key AWS services and stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Team management:
Manage and mentor a team of analysts and data engineers, ensuring high-quality execution across analytics and data engineering initiatives.
Establish a strong culture of learning, ownership, and continuous improvement through focused training and career development.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in a technology or relevant discipline (e.g., Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, etc.)
Team management and leadership skills.
7+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics or BI role, preferably in FMCG, Beauty, or D2C sectors)
7+ years of SQL, Python, Power BI, Excel/Google Sheets.
AWS Console (RDS, EC2, Lambda functions).
