Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1
Work on all phases of SAP TM (Transportation Management) implementation which includes blueprinting, gap analysis, mapping, prototypes, design, developing, testing, go-live, user training, and post-production support.
Work in the technology organization and business representatives to determine the business process and solution design leveraging the capabilities of SAP TM
Provide expertise in the development of best practices in SAP TM.
Product and services development to augment or enhance the SAP TM and interfaced systems.
Should have implemented SAP S4 Embedded TM in a side-car scenario
Should have worked on the core TM business processes configuration - Inbound and outbound Shipments (Domestic and International), Transportation Planning, LTL vs. FTL Planning Load Determination & Pool Distribution, Freight Tendering, Subcontracting, Event Tracking & Monitoring Ocean Carrier - Door to Door / Port to Port / Port to Door scenarios
Hands on knowledge working on SAP TM Master Data - Product, Business Partner, Dangerous goods Transportation network (Locations, Routes and Zones) Resources (Vehicles, trailers, Handing units)
Should have worked on Shipper with all modes of transport - Road, Ocean, Air, Rail and Inland Waterways
Experience working also on LSP scenario is good to have.
Ocean & Air Freight Order Transportation Planning (Freight Units, Freight proposal and Freight Orders )
Experienced in Planning - Selection Profiles and Planning Profiles, conditions Optimizer Planning, schedules
Experienced in setup of Master Data Integration using Data Replication Framework
Experienced in setup of Freight Execution, Carrier selection and Tendering
Experienced in setup of Freight Settlement (Charge Management, Charge Calculations, Freight Settlement,)
Experienced in Cost Distribution Management
Should have worked on SAP TM Integration with ERP and Logistics Providers using ABAP Proxy, EDI and other channels
Should have Integration Monitoring skills
Must have worked on Integration of SAP TM with other SAP Products like Event Management, EWM, SAP LBN, SAP GTT
Must have strong knowledge of Logistics and distribution business processes and best practices.
