Role Description
We are seeking a  Marine Superintendent  for a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai. This position involves overseeing daily marine operations, managing vessel performance, Assist in Surveys, supervising crew activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The Marine Superintendent will also coordinate inspections and surveys, handle vetting processes, and ensure efficient vessel operations aligned with company standards.

Qualifications
Proficiency in Marine Operations and Vessel Operations
Experience in Ship Management and related practices
Strong Supervisory Skills to effectively manage crew and operations
Knowledge of Vetting processes and compliance with maritime regulations
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Problem-solving abilities and a focus on safety and operational efficiency
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a relevant field is preferred
Prior experience in maritime or shipping industries is a significant advantage
Prior shore-based experience as Engineer/ Marine Superintendent / Marine Officer will be an advantage
Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, SMS and port regulations

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the safe operation of all assigned tugboats in line with company, flag state and port regulations
Conduct regular vessel visits and inspections to monitor standards of navigation, seamanship, mooring and onboard safety
Implement and maintain ISM, ISPS and SMS requirements; ensure documentation and records are up to date
Lead and support incident / near-miss investigations, root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions
Mentor and guide masters and crew on best practices, procedures and port-specific requirements
Liaise with class, flag, surveyors and port authorities for audits, inspections, drills and statutory requirements
Coordinate with the technical team on planned maintenance, dry-docking and repairs from a marine / operational perspective
Monitor vessel performance (utilisation, delays, incidents) and provide reports and recommendations to management
Contribute to training, familiarisation and appraisal of deck officers and crew
Participate in developing and updating marine procedures, checklists and risk assessments
