Senior Structural Engineer – Post Tension Design

An international engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering creative engineering has an immediate requirement for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Muscat, Oman.

The successful candidate will play an integral part in delivering large-scale building projects including healthcare, hospitality and mixed-use developments. You will manage projects from financial, design and technical perspectives. This is a client-facing role involving effectively managing multiple stakeholders, coordinating with local authorities, and resolving any design or technical issues that may arise. The role also includes contributing to the preparation of proposals and tenders and actively supporting business development and the operational performance of the Oman office.

• Manage post-tension design projects from inception through delivery, ensuring technical excellence and financial viability.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities; resolve design or technical issues efficiently.
• Lead project teams, manage resources, and maintain quality and schedule controls.
• Contribute to proposals and tender preparation; support business development activities.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and represent the firm in client-facing meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural/Civil Engineering (BA/B.Sc. or equivalent).
• 6+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to post-tensioned structures.
• Strong technical skills with experience running complex building projects from both technical and financial perspectives.
• Proven ability to manage small teams and to lead client and project management activities.
