Senior Electrical Design Engineer

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Muscat-based team and support a wide range of building services and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, regional project experience, and the ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design activities within a consultancy environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power and Control Engineering (BEng or equivalent is the minimum). Master’s Degree is a plus.
• 10–15 years of professional experience, primarily within building services and infrastructure projects.
• GCC experience preferred, with strong knowledge of regional codes and standards.
• Proven background working within a design consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, ETAP and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, lighting, ELV/low-voltage systems, grounding, and building electrical systems.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.

• Lead and manage the design and development of electrical systems for building services and infrastructure projects.
• Develop, review, validate, and approve electrical drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with GCC regional codes, international standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with architects, mechanical and structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Conduct design reviews, quality checks, site visits, technical assessments, and evaluations to verify design implementation and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior and mid-level engineers and CAD technicians.
• Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, progress reviews, and tender preparation, including reviewing submissions and responding to queries.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and project partners.
• Support project management across design stages, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and overall project objectives.
