Your MissionAs a Marine Cable Engineer – Electrical in the Transmission & Distribution department, you will provide technical expertise for HV/MV submarine cable systems, including design review, installation support and ensuring compliance with OETC standards. You will uphold quality, safety and timely execution of marine cable projects through stakeholder coordination and site supervision.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Electrical engineering review for HV/MV submarine cable systems (design, routing, joints & terminations).
- Support marine cable installation (offshore cable lay, burial, landfall pull‑in, HDD interface).
- Coordinate with stakeholders (Client – OETC, EPC Contractor, Marine Contractors, Statutory Bodies & 3rd Parties).
- Perform quality control and site supervision for cable handling, jointing, termination and route preparation.
- Review design documents, method statements, ITPs, QCPs and ensure compliance with OETC standards.
- Provide testing & commissioning support (VLF, Sheath Test, OTDR, Insulation Resistance, Continuity).
- Monitor progress, prepare technical reports and resolve interface issues.
- Support change‑order evaluation related to marine cable electrical scope.
- Ensure adherence to safety requirements and OETC HSE regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of HV/MV submarine cable systems and installation practices.
- Familiarity with OETC standards and marine cable project requirements.
- Experienced in design review and site supervision for submarine cable projects.
- Skilled in stakeholder coordination and technical reporting.
- Knowledgeable in testing and commissioning of HV/MV cable systems.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Detail‑oriented and proactive in problem‑solving.
- Comfortable working in offshore and multicultural environments.
- Prior experience in HV/MV submarine cable projects is highly preferred.
