Description
CCDS is seeking a talented network engineer to join our team in Muscat, Oman. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining networking solutions for our clients in the region. You will work on a variety of projects that will challenge your skills and further develop your expertise in network technologies. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in networking principles and a passion for delivering exceptional service to clients.
Keyresponsibilities
- Design & installation: Develop and install network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless components.
- Maintenance & support: Perform routine maintenance, apply software patches, and provide technical support to users.
- Security management: Implement and manage security systems such as firewalls and antivirus to safeguard data and mitigate cyber threats.
- Performance monitoring: Monitor network performance, analyze trends, and optimize for efficiency and user experience.
- Troubleshooting & repair: Diagnose and resolve network issues to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
- Documentation & reporting: Prepare engineering design packages and generate reports on network health for stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in implementing and managing Fortinet and Palo Alto
- Experience with Huawei and Aruba solutions is a strong plus
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, routing, switching, and security practices
- Experience with network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques
- Currently residing in Oman and available to join within 1 month (mobilized)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to travel as needed for project implementation
- Preferred knowledge of Arabic is a plus
