Software Systems LLC (OHI Group Company), Muscat, Oman is seeking a dynamic and highly adaptable Presales Consultant with strong expertise in modern data platforms and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will support sales cycles by shaping high-impact data strategies, developing winning proposals, and guiding clients through their data and AI transformation journeys.
Key Responsibilities- Presales Engagement & Solutioning
- Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to understand business needs, technical environments, and data challenges.
- Translate customer requirements into scalable and secure solution architectures across Cloudera, Qlik Talend, Qlik Sense, Power BI, and related data platforms.
- Build and present tailored demos, proof‑of‑concepts (POCs), and solution walkthroughs to support business development efforts.
- Collaborate with sales teams to position SSL’s Data & AI offerings effectively.
- Proposal & RFP Management
- Own end‑to‑end technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Develop solution descriptions, architecture diagrams, BOMs, compliance matrices, and SOW content.
- Participate in proposal defense presentations, clarifying solution design and value proposition to client technical committees.
- Data Governance & Architecture
- Advocate and design solutions incorporating enterprise data governance best practices, including metadata management, data cataloging, quality frameworks, and lineage.
- Provide guidance on integrating governance frameworks across multi‑platform environments.
- GenAI & Emerging Technology Enablement
- Bring foundational knowledge of GenAI, LLMs, vector databases, and AI‑driven analytics tools.
- Evaluate new technologies and quickly upskill to integrate them into solutioning and presales engagements.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Engage with technology partners (e.g., Cloudera, Qlik, Microsoft) for solution alignment, certifications, joint proposals, and deal support.
- Interface with internal engineering and delivery teams to validate feasibility, effort estimates, and implementation approaches.
- Maintain relationships with vendors to stay updated on product roadmaps and partner programs.
- 5–10 years of experience in Presales, Solution Consulting, or Data Platform Consulting roles.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of data ecosystems:
- Cloudera (Hadoop ecosystem, Hive, Spark, Kafka);
- Qlik Talend (ETL/ELT, data integration frameworks);
- Qlik Sense (dashboards, self‑service analytics);
- Power BI (data modeling, reporting, governance).
- Understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA, DCAM, custom enterprise frameworks).
- Proven experience in writing high‑quality RFP responses and technical proposals.
- Prior participation in proposal defense meetings / Orals is highly desirable.
- Ability to learn new technologies rapidly (GenAI/LLMs, cloud data platforms, MLOps tools, etc.).
- Strong communication, storytelling, and customer‑facing presentation skills.
