Role Purpose
This role is responsible for leading the design and delivery of innovative, scalable, and secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions. As a senior architect, the position plays a critical role in shaping the organization's technology landscape through advanced architectural frameworks that drive performance, resilience, and cost efficiency. The architect provides strategic and technical leadership across infrastructure transformation programs — with a strong focus on cloud adoption, hybrid integration, and core platform optimization — to enhance operational agility, ensure security compliance, and support future‑ready digital capabilities.

Key Accountabilities
- Lead the design and planning of enterprise infrastructure solutions across multi‑cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), on‑premises, and hybrid environments, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
- Drive cloud adoption and modernization initiatives, including the evaluation and migration of applications, aligning with business scalability, performance, and resilience objectives.
- Architect and manage Kubernetes and VMware clusters across cloud and on‑prem environments, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and automated lifecycle management.
- Develop and validate High‑Level and Low‑Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for cloud‑native and on‑prem infrastructure components, incorporating modularity, integration, and compliance.
- Lead the preparation of Scope of Work (SOW) documents for infrastructure programs and manage end‑to‑end tendering and evaluation processes with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with finance and leadership teams to support CAPEX and OPEX planning, ensuring infrastructure investments are cost‑effective, strategically aligned, and well‑justified.
- Provide lifecycle management of enterprise software licenses (e.g., IBM, Oracle, Microsoft), ensuring compliance, renewal planning, and optimization of license utilization and cost.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, system integrators, and stakeholders, managing performance, SLAs, contracts, and issue resolution to ensure successful project execution.
- Design and implement enterprise‑grade disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, including backup, replication, failover, and DR testing frameworks.
- Lead and participate in infrastructure operations management, including budgeting, resource planning, compliance monitoring, and risk management to ensure seamless operations.
- Define and enforce monitoring, observability, and alerting frameworks across hybrid infrastructure landscapes to support proactive performance and incident management.
- Champion cost optimization across public cloud and on‑prem resources, using Fin Ops principles, reserved capacity planning, and workload right‑sizing techniques.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (e.g., container platforms, cloud PaaS, SDN, edge computing) to enhance infrastructure capabilities and agility.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of infrastructure security frameworks, including cloud‑native security baselines, IAM policies, encryption, and compliance with data residency and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the translation of business and technical requirements into infrastructure architecture and delivery plans, ensuring strategic alignment and solution viability.
- Design and execute complex cloud migration strategies, minimizing service disruptions and ensuring smooth transitions from legacy to cloud‑native platforms.
- Coordinate the technical evaluation and optimization of cloud vendor offerings, ensuring commercial and technical alignment with enterprise standards.
- Establish and track infrastructure performance metrics, KPIs, and SLAs, proactively identifying service risks, capacity bottlenecks, and improvement areas.
- Drive knowledge‑sharing and mentoring initiatives across the team to build internal capability and support cross‑functional architectural understanding.
