This full‑time, on‑site Senior IT Auditor role is based in Muscat. The position is responsible for evaluating, testing, and enhancing the effectiveness of the organisation’s IT governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks. The role focuses on ensuring that information systems, cybersecurity controls, and technology operations comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. The Senior IT Auditor will provide expert insights, identify control gaps, recommend improvements, and support the safeguarding of the organisation’s digital assets.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum six to eight years of experience in IT auditing, IT risk management, cybersecurity, or information systems assurance.
- Prior experience in internal audit, Big Four professional services, or a regulated industry is an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CIA, or other relevant qualifications are highly advantageous.
- Hands‑on exposure to IT General Controls (ITGCs), application audits, cybersecurity assessments, and technology governance.
- Solid understanding of IT audit methodologies and risk‑based auditing approaches.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and IT governance frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, ERP systems, network infrastructure, and databases.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple audit assignments independently.
