OCI Database Engineer - Leading Tech Consultancy - Relocation opportunity to Muscat ✈️

About our client

A leading Tech and Digital Transformation company based in Oman.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy and operate Oracle DB services in OCI (Autonomous, Cloud Service, Exadata, DB Systems).
• Lead on‑premises to OCI migrations (Data Pump, RMAN, Golden Gate, Data Guard).
• Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, backup/DR strategy, security (TDE, auditing, role management).
• Automate tasks with Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, Ansible, PL/SQL, Python, Bash.
• Monitor systems (OCI Monitoring, AWR/ASH) and execute patches/maintenance.
• Collaborate across teams (apps, security, infrastructure) and mentor junior DBAs.

Required Qualifications &

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years’ experience as an Oracle DBA or Database Engineer, preferably with cloud‑hosted Oracle database services (Oracle cloud experience preferred).

  Working Conditions & Benefits:

  • Sunday to Thursday work schedule, 8 AM to 5 PM.
