As engineer of the Production Department, being responsible to schedule and ensure that all the activities planned are being completed to the highest level of quality to ensure minimal disruption of operations.
Key Deliverables- Responsible as an engineer to schedule and maintain manpower, resources and machinery of the production department.
- Arrange for the raw materials required for production from the warehouse/stores and in conjunction with the planning department.
- Communicate and monitor produced lengths to ensure final lengths are achieved with minimum scrap and short lengths.
- Arrange the daily production requirements as per the machine schedule to operators and arrange all materials and tooling required during the shift.
- Assist to schedule and arrange the manning requirements per machine and to update daily machine schedule.
- Conduct various in-process checks to ensure that the process quality compliance is maintained as per QCP.
- Control raw material consumption & scrap generation in each process by daily monitoring of raw material consumption & scrap produced.
- Supervise production personnel to ensure they carry out their work on time and with proper adherence to HSE standards.
- Ensure that supervisors and operators are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the production program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost‑effective manner.
- Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Coordinate activities with HSE Department and implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
- Conduct inventories.
- Bachelors/Diploma in Engineering/Technology or any similar technical qualification.
- 5+ years of experience in related industries.
- Knowledge about plant machinery and skills.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge on scheduling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic & English.
- Relationship management skills.
- Ability to take timely actions and decisions.
- Knowledge on Production scheduling, planning & Execution.
- Knowledge of ERP & MES systems will be an added advantage.
- Extensive understanding of the business operations is essential.
