To supervise daily operations of the Non-Food department, ensuring product availability, proper merchandising, stock accuracy, sales performance, and team effectiveness
, while maintaining company standards, safety, and customer satisfaction.
1. Operations & Sales
- Supervise daily non-food department operations.
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked, well-presented, and priced correctly.
- Monitor sales performance and support achievement of targets.
- Implement promotional plans and seasonal displays.
- Ensure correct product placement and planogram compliance.
2. Stock & Inventory Control
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
- Ensure accurate receiving, shelving, and stock rotation.
- Control shrinkage, damages, and returns.
- Proceed stock counts, cycle counts, and support audits.
- Coordinate with inventory and receiving teams.
- Ensure signage, labels, and price tags are correct.
- Manage seasonal and promotional displays.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the department.
4. Team Supervision
- Supervise, schedule, and guide non-food staff.
- Train staff on product knowledge and SOPs.
- Monitor performance and provide feedback.
- Ensure staff discipline, attendance, and grooming standards.
5. Customer Service
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Support staff in resolving customer issues.
6. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
- Ensure security procedures to prevent theft.
- Follow audit and compliance requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree).
Experience- 2–4 years of non food retail experience,
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
- Experience in a hypermarket or large retail environment.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good understanding of non-food categories (electronics, home, textiles, etc.).
- Stock management and merchandising knowledge.
- (POS, inventory systems, Microsoft excel).
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
- Accountability and integrity.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Stock availability and accuracy.
- Shrinkage and damage control.
- Customer satisfaction scores.
- Team productivity and attendance.
