Overview

Assistant Manager – Full Time.

Hours:

43 hours across 5 days per week. Pay: £30,240 - £31,392 per annum. Benefits include 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package, and more.

Location:

Musselburgh, East Lothian. We offer a permanent full time position with shifts usually including at least one weekend shift. For full time positions, you may be required to be fully flexible in your availability, including weekends.

  • Salary: £30,240.00 – £31,392.52 per annum on a 43 hour contract.

As one of our assistant managers you will:

  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
  • Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
  • Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
  • Take responsibility for motivating and guiding your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
  • Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

You will need:

  • A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work.
  • To be a ‘people person’ who finds it easy to get on with everyone and can build strong working relationships with colleagues.
  • To be trustworthy and reliable as you will be an important part of a small team. Your team and customers will depend on you to do your job to the best of your ability at all times.
  • Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
