The post-holder will work closely with and report to the Retail Managers across the range of activities covered by the post.
Key Results & KPI's- To assist in ensuring excellence in the delivery of New Start Highland retail service to the public
- Ensuring excellence in customer service is delivered consistently in all transactions
- Communicating clearly and effectively with other members of the team and the general public.
- Acting within the values and culture of New Start with accountability and professionalism.
- Liaising with staff, volunteers, service users and the general public in a courteous manner that promotes a positive image.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with other members of the team and the general public.
- Undertake day to day activities relative to the operation of the shops including assisting in the pricing, display, and sale of items.
- Assist the Retail Supervisor in monitoring and maintaining every aspect of the service in respect of ensuring consistency of quality of items offered for sale.
- Till operation duties including the overseeing of monies received ie float and banking.
- Assisting with the training, support and coordination of volunteers.
- To provide cover in other retail premises when required.
- Ability to deliver a high level of quality customer service.
- Committed to ensuring a neat and orderly working environment.
- Ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines.
- Previous retail experience.
- Previous experience working with volunteers and or people with vulnerability issues.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Awareness and understanding of the retail sector.
- Previous retail experience.
- You have a natural flair for engaging with customers and thrive in a customer facing role.
- You're confident to proactively approach customers and discuss their needs.
- You're able to build positive relationships within the store.
- You've got a dedicated work ethic.
