The Island Health Division of Neurology is seeking an additional Neurologist to join a group of five colleagues.
Responsibilities
Provide inpatient and outpatient neurology care.
Contribute to the development of subspecialty services in Epilepsy, Headache, or Cognitive Neurology.
Deliver medical education in partnership with the University of British Columbia.
Maintain a healthy work–life balance within a dynamic and growing practice environment.
Qualifications
Royal College certification in neurology.
Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
Demonstrated commitment to community-based stroke care.
Enthusiasm for developing subspecialty services.
Training & Academic Affiliation
Academic affiliation with the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the Island Medical School postgraduate and undergraduate programs is available. NRGH is a UBC Postgraduate Family Practice Residency Program site with 16 family practice residents.

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (315 acute care beds) serves an immediate population of 125,000 and a secondary referral population of over 350,000. Hospital-based services include EEG, EMG, a rehabilitation inpatient unit, CT and MRI.
