Showcase is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager In Training to help lead our retail store in Woodgrove Centre. Showcase is a national retailer with 150 stores across Canada and the USA, offering trendy products from social media, such as health, beauty, home, toys, tech, and novelty food. Top products include Pokemon trading cards, Squishmallows, freeze-dried candy, Prime Hydration drinks, and more.

Our target demographic is Gen Z tweens and teens, as well as their parents. Showcase is known for being trendy and disruptive, with a fun, interactive in-store experience where customers can "try before they buy".

As Manager in Training, you will help lead a team of sales associates, ensure smooth and profitable store operations, and provide excellent customer service. You will report directly to the Store Manager and assist in achieving sales goals and maximizing profitability. You will also help train, coach, and develop a high-performing team knowledgeable about our products and engaged with customers.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily store operations and achieving sales targets

Create a positive environment for customers and staff

Analyze sales and financial data to identify trends and opportunities

Develop strategies to increase traffic and sales, including social media and community outreach

Ensure store visual merchandising is appealing and effective

Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with management to manage stock

Follow company policies, including health and safety regulations

Requirements

At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume retail environment

Proven success in achieving sales targets and profitability

Strong leadership and team-building skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Analytical skills for data-driven decision making

Knowledge of social media and digital marketing trends

Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Experience in health, beauty, home, toys, tech, or food industries is a plus
