American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM certification.
Details- 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit within the Women's and Children's building
- Staffing includes RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses CPN and Meditech documentation systems
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 3 12-hour shifts per week including 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift
- Travelers float first per unit policy
- Unit emphasizes shared decision making in patient care
- Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM (AWHONN Advanced not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Skilled in care of the laboring patient and immediate newborn care
- Experience circulating and recovering c-section patients
- No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Provide direct patient care for laboring patients and newborns immediately following delivery
- Circulate and recover cesarean section patients as part of daily responsibilities
- Scrubs required in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray (not provided by facility)
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
