Virtualization Lead Administrator

We are seeking a  Virtualization Lead Administrator  to lead the planning, deployment, and management of virtualization technologies. You will supervise and mentor a team of administrators while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable virtualization solutions. This role requires strong expertise in platforms like  Nutanix, VMware, and Hyper-V , as well as proficiency in scripting, automation, and security principles.

Roles & Responsibilities :
Virtualization Management :
Lead the planning, deployment, and management of virtualization technologies, including  Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V , or other platforms to ensure efficient resource utilization and high availability.
Team Leadership :
Supervise and mentor a team of virtualization administrators, providing technical guidance and support.
Infrastructure Design :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and high-performance virtualization solutions.
Performance Optimization :
Continuously monitor virtualized environments, identify performance bottlenecks, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
Security & Compliance :
Implement and maintain security measures and policies to protect virtualized environments from threats and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Backup & Recovery :
Design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
Automation :
Use scripting and automation tools ( Power Shell, Ansible ) to streamline virtualization management tasks and improve efficiency.
Capacity Planning :
Assess capacity requirements and recommend scaling virtual resources to meet organizational demands.
Documentation :
Maintain detailed documentation of virtualization configurations, procedures, and policies.

Skills Required:

Proven experience in leading virtualization teams.
Strong expertise in virtualization technologies such as  AHV, VMware, and Hyper-V .
Proficiency in server hardware, storage, and networking concepts.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Experience with scripting and automation tools ( Power Shell, Python, Nutanix Calm, Ansible ).
Knowledge of cloud technologies ( AWS, Azure ) is a plus.
Relevant certifications such as  VMware Certified Professional (VCP)  or  Nutanix certified  are an advantage.

QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
