Job Description
As part of Jio Saavn's Product Design team, you'll collaborate with engineers and product
managers across all stages of the product cycle. We're looking for someone with a sharp
eye, a passion for deceivingly simple design, and a love for building and iterating. If you're
equal parts thinker and maker, and take pride in bringing projects from concept to
completion at a world-class level, this is your role.

Responsibilities:
Translate Jio Saavn's product vision into user experiences through research, ideation, prototyping, and user testing.
Make data-informed design decisions for core features and new product initiatives.
Apply user-centred design methods to identify problems and develop elegant, testable solutions.
Deliver wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs optimised for mobile and web.
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Brand Design to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.
Conduct design QA with Engineering to ensure visual and interaction fidelity in implementation.
Document design decisions, patterns, and rationale for team reference and future iterations.
Stay informed on streaming and media product trends; benchmark against competitors like Spotify, You Tube Music, and Apple Music.
Communicate design rationale clearly across teams and to leadership; mentor junior designers to elevate team output.
Contribute to and help maintain the Jio Saavn Design System.
Participate in design critiques, reviews, and knowledge-sharing within the team.

Requirements:
5-7 years of professional experience designing and shipping consumer products.
The portfolio should include detailed case studies demonstrating problem-framing, process, and measurable outcomes, not just visual polish.
Strong mobile design expertise (iOS, Android, responsive web) with a clear understanding of platform conventions and constraints.
Solid grasp of Design Systems, both contributing to and working within them.
Proficiency in Figma; ability to create motion design and micro-interactions using prototyping tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. You'll regularly present to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Obsessive attention to detail: user experience, visual polish, typography.
Receptive to critique; able to iterate based on feedback constructively.
Ability to manage multiple projects and make trade-off decisions when priorities compete.
Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Good to have:
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.

Experience with consumer media, entertainment, or streaming products.
Familiarity with multi-language UI and localisation considerations.
Experience designing for personalisation, discovery, or content-heavy platforms.
Understanding of offline/low-connectivity user scenarios.

Experience with subscription flows: paywalls, upgrade prompts, trial experiences.
Familiarity with theming systems (dark mode, adaptive UI).
Basic awareness of front-end implementation constraints (HTML/CSS).
