They now have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable / Credit Controller to join their finance team at their Lancashire-based site.
The RoleAs part of a collaborative and supportive finance team, you'll play a key role in managing the company's credit and collections processes. You'll ensure timely customer payments, maintain accurate records, and help drive continuous improvement within the AR function.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactively monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of communications and transactions.
- Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
- Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Prepare regular reports on aged debt and cash collection performance.
- Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable position.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (experience with ERP systems advantageous).
- A proactive, positive team player with a commitment to excellent customer service.
