About the Opportunity
The Ministry of Health, Republic of Seychelles is inviting applications from experienced Family / General Practitioners as part of an official Government recruitment program.
We are recruiting for two categories:
1) Family / General Practitioner (Primary Health Care)
2) Family / GP with 5+ years A&E / Emergency Medicine experience
This is a stable government role in a safe, English-speaking island nation with excellent benefits and international clinical exposure.
Role 1:
Family / General Practitioner (Primary Health Care)
Key Responsibilities
Provide outpatient and primary care services in government hospitals/health centers
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Conduct basic clinical procedures and preventive health screening
Refer and coordinate care with specialists and hospital departments
Participate in public health, health education, and continuity-of-care initiatives
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with hospital protocols
Minimum Eligibility
MBBS + relevant qualification (GP/Family Medicine / General Medicine / equivalent)
Minimum 5+ years clinical experience post qualification (as GP/PHC physician)
Active medical council registration (NMC / state medical council / overseas regulator)
Eligible to obtain a Good Standing Certificate
Role 2:
Family / GP with 5+ Years A&E Experience
Key Responsibilities
In addition to GP responsibilities, the GP with A&E experience will:
Manage emergency presentations and acute triage cases
Provide stabilization, initial treatment, and emergency referral pathways
Handle trauma, cardiac emergencies, respiratory emergencies, and acute admissions
Work in rotation with ER teams and ensure emergency protocols are followed
Support emergency department patient flow and resuscitation readiness
Minimum Eligibility
MBBS + relevant qualification (GP/Family Medicine / General Medicine / equivalent)
Minimum 5+ years A&E / Emergency Medicine experience (mandatory)
Confident with acute stabilisation, resuscitation protocols, and ER case handling
Active medical council registration + Good Standing eligibility
Salary & Benefits
USD 3,900 – 4,700 per month (Specialist Grade / negotiable)
Fully furnished accommodation provided

Visa and work permit sponsored by the Ministry
Inbound airfare + annual return airfare
2-year renewable government contract
International exposure in a safe, English-speaking country
