Key Responsibilities
A SQL Server expert, with strong fundamentals and deep understanding of SQL Server architecture.
Provide expert‑level support on SQL Server Core / Engine .
Design, build, implement, and support SQL Server solutions across:
Architecture and Core Concepts
Performance Tuning & Optimization
High Availability & Disaster Recovery (Failover Clustering, Always On Availability Groups)
Migration and Version Upgrades
Security, Compliance, and Maintenance
Stay current with the evolution and enhancements of SQL Server across versions , applying best practices in real‑world environments.
Deliver hands‑on operational leadership during reactive scenarios , including:
Performance degradation issues
High Availability incidents
Failover Cluster and Availability Group issues
SQL Server setup, patching, and upgrade challenges
Security incidents and maintenance failures
Drive clear action plans , lead troubleshooting engagements, and follow issues through to full resolution.
Handle SQL Server administration and operational troubleshooting independently in high‑pressure environments.
Provide technical leadership , escalation management, and decision‑making during critical incidents.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, business stakeholders, and application owners .
Contribute across a broader Microsoft data ecosystem, including:
Power BI
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Azure Data Services
Required Skills & Experience
Advanced, hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise environments.
Strong expertise in:
SQL Server Architecture and Core Engine
Performance Tuning and Optimization
High Availability (Failover Clusters, Always On Availability Groups)
Migration, Upgrade, and Patching activities
Security and Maintenance best practices
Proven experience managing reactive and operational support scenarios .
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and root‑cause analysis skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal ramp‑up or training .
