Senior UI/UX Designer – Web & Digital Experience

Role Overview
KR Mangalam University is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer – Web & Digital Experience who can bridge the gap between creative design and technical execution . The role requires hands-on expertise in website design, landing pages, and digital user experiences , along with the ability to guide and align print creatives (brochures, newspaper ads, prospectus) with the university’s brand identity and admissions objectives.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing digital touchpoints for admissions, branding, and engagement , while ensuring technical feasibility and performance-driven design.
Key Responsibilities
Web, UI/UX & Digital Experience
Lead the design of university websites, microsites, and landing pages focused on admissions, campaigns, and academic programs.
Create user-centric UI/UX designs using Figma (wireframes, prototypes, design systems).
Ensure designs are technically feasible , responsive, and optimized for performance and conversions.
Collaborate with developers or vendors to:
Translate designs into live websites
Ensure accurate handoff, QA, and implementation
Maintain and evolve design systems and UI guidelines for consistency across digital platforms.
Improve user journeys , navigation, and accessibility across university digital assets.
Landing Pages & Admissions Campaigns
Design high-conversion landing pages for admissions, events, and marketing campaigns .
Apply UX principles to improve:
Lead generation
Enquiry forms
Page engagement and usability
Work closely with marketing teams to align design with campaign goals and messaging .
Technical Understanding
Strong working knowledge of:
HTML, CSS (basic JavaScript understanding preferred)
CMS platforms such as Word Press / Webflow
Ability to:
Communicate effectively with developers
Review builds for design accuracy and UX quality
Understanding of responsive design, page load performance, and basic SEO-friendly design practices .
Print & Offline Creative Advisory
Provide creative direction and design guidance for:
Brochures & prospectus
Newspaper advertisements
Hoardings, flyers, and other offline creatives
Ensure all print materials:
Align with the university’s brand identity
Are consistent with digital look & feel
Collaborate with graphic designers and agencies to maintain quality and consistency.
Branding & Collaboration
Work closely with:
Marketing & Admissions teams
External agencies and developers
Ensure all creative outputs support brand positioning and institutional credibility .
Mentor junior designers and provide design leadership when required.
Educational Qualification (Recommended)
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:
Design (UI/UX, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design)
Fine Arts / Applied Arts
Computer Science / Information Technology
Multimedia / Digital Media
Any related discipline from a recognized university
Required Skills:
6–8 years of experience in UI/UX, Web Design, or Digital Experience Design,
Expert-level proficiency in Figma
Strong portfolio showcasing :
Websites
Landing pages
UX case studies
Branding or print samples (preferred)
