Essential

Qualifications:

Ph.D in Anthropology / Sociology / Environmental Studies / Social Work or related disciplines, experience in qualitative fieldwork, preferably with tribal or rural communities
Desirable

Qualifications:

Prior experience conducting FGDs, IDIs, and community-based research
Experience working on climate change, adaptation, vulnerability, or indigenous knowledge
Proficiency in regional languages of field sites i.e Odisha and Rajasthan
Skills in NVivo/Atlas.ti
Experience writing reports, manuscripts, and policy briefs

Key Responsibilities:

Lead fieldwork in selected tribal communities across project states
Build rapport with community leaders, tribal councils, and local NGOs
Conduct qualitative data collection: in-depth interviews, FGDs, community mapping
Coordinate with local institutions and government bodies for permissions
Prepare field activity reports and contribute to qualitative analysis
Prepare reports, literature reviews, and draft publications
Support PI in dissemination workshops and community feedback meetings
